Švec, Martin ; Müller, Zdeněk (referee) ; Ruller, Ivan (advisor)
Modern and lightweight-looking architectural concept of the town house, which is the counterbalance to the former historical development and highlight of the look-through axe from the Main square. The inner-space functional allocation come through to the exterior look of the building. The former Poláškova street is extended, there is the piazetta with outside seating. The parter is determined by the roof cantilever and the wooden pergola with the outdoor LED illumination. In the ground floor there are two shopping spaces, pharmacy and film café. The first floor contains rehab centre. Its look is maximally lightweighted, the fassade is made only from the structural glassing. This makes the contrast between the ground floor growing up from the ground a the three-storeyed section for living. This part of building is carried by massive frames from reinforced concrete and is designed as a wood framework with pasted frames and gridiron ceiling pannels. It contains 28 appartments. Most of them are low-cost, epecially for young families and singles. In the underground are three storeys of parking. 81 places are the replacement of former public parking. The arrival ramp is situated on the south side by the Sokolská street. The connection point to the busy drive-through road is on the former crossroad with the Králova street, where are newly installed the traffic lights. The access to the shops is situated on the north side by the historical town centre. To cross the parcel is possible next to the building through the small park on the western side, or throught the centre of the bulding. The terrace above the ground floor is walkable and accessible by the stairs from piazetta or by the skew roof of the film café. The skew roof contains also benches and artificial waterfall, which ends in the fountain. The fountain is there for the good feeling of the space and for technical reasins. It is connected with the reservoir of the rain water.

Jedrzejková, Ivana ; Myslín,, Jiří (referee) ; Dýr, Petr (advisor)
The main subject of this diploma project was to design an architectural proposal of Moravian Wine Centre in Brno, Czech Republic. To design a polyfunctional building with a concept of new use of an existing network of underground cellars became the main goal of the proposal. The building is divided into seven functional units where services in the fields of culture, education, gastronomy, recreation and wine production will be provided. The form and shape of MVC is based on the idea of making a passable connection between two important urban spaces Exhibition Centre Brno, and the Zluty Kopec area. The next aim was to create a public space for cultural events and recreation. Part of the assignment was to deal with smaller urban planning of adjacent properties and to react to Brno's planning policy. Parking spaces are divided into above-ground and underground in order to restrict parking on street. An automatic parking system is part of the object MVC Brno.

Kozumplíková, Markéta ; Müllerová, Eva (referee) ; Müller, Jan (advisor)
The aim of this master thesis is to design a low-energy building for civic amenities, specifically the design of a recreational wellness centre. The building has an L-shaped floor plan with a flat roof and is designed with two above ground and one underground floor. The ground floor will serve as a wellness centre with a swimming pool and saunas. Massages and solariums are proposed on the 2nd floor. Technical facilities are located in the basement. The first part of the thesis is devoted to the architectural and structural design. Structurally, the building is divided into two parts. The part of the administrative facilities and the massage rooms consists of a construction of the character of a transverse wall system made of cut brick blocks and insulated with ETICS. The internal masonry is designed in ceramic ground bricks. Ceiling structures are in the form of continuous reinforced concrete slab. The building is based on footings and waist foundations. The roof of the building is single-skin flat with a gravel. The wellness part is made up of a monolithic diaphragm skeleton with high slenderness columns. The horizontal load-bearing structure in this case again consists of a continuous monolithic reinforced concrete slab. The second part of the thesis deals mainly with the environmental engineering of the buildings. The building will be heated by a pellet boiler and will also use energy from photovoltaic panels. Ventilation in the building is provided by air handling units with heat recovery. The third part of the thesis deals with the assessment of solar gains in the indoor environment of the pool hall. Three variants are proposed with multi-criteria evaluation and the optimal option is selected. The thesis is mainly elaborated in Archicad, Deksoft, MS Excel and Word software.
